About this product

Concertina coil is a spiral of high-tensile galvanized wire fitted with sharp razor blades. When it is stretched out, the loops form a deep, springy barrier that is extremely hard to climb, cut or push through, so it is the standard choice for high-security perimeters.

Our coils are 600 mm in diameter with 50 loops per coil, single razor, made from 2.5 mm (12 SWG) wire with 275 GSM zinc coating, 6 m per roll.

What is the difference between concertina coil and barbed wire?

Barbed wire has small barbs on a straight wire; concertina coil uses razor blades on a spiral that opens into a deep barrier, giving much higher security.

How is concertina coil installed?

It is usually fixed on top of a wall or fence on angle brackets, or laid along the ground between fences, and held with line wires and clips.

What is 275 GSM?

The weight of zinc coating per square metre of wire surface. Higher GSM means more rust protection.
